The lawyers hired to review possible fraud in last year's Louisiana Senate race have asked for more time to examine mounting evidence of vote fraud by casinos and a New Orleans Democratic organization.
"The case has developed in complexity . . . and presents a wide range of claims and responses for review and evaluation," lawyers Robert F. Bauer and William B. Canfield wrote to Sen. John W. Warner, Virginia Republican and chairman of the Rules and Administration Committee, which is looking into the election.
