Trees are sparse on the approach to No. 18 at Avenel, but Ian Baker-Finch managed to hit one squarely on the trunk. He followed that with a shot onto the cart path, another into the far bunker, one that rolled just past the hole and finished with a double bogey.
That's the kind of day it was yesterday for Baker-Finch, who finished with a 9-over 80. In fact, that's the kind of two years it has been for the 35-year-old Australian.
