MEXICO CITY - The brave person in this crowded capital is not the one who ventures into dark streets or crowded markets but the one who leaves the windows open at night.
A panic has gripped the country as reports flow in from the four points of the compass about the dreaded "goatsucker" - a batlike creature that is believed to suck the blood of goats and other large animals.
"People are really frightened of it," said one resident of the capital. "They think it's an extraterrestrial."
