Three matches were started but none finished yesterday as rain forced postponement of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in the District.
The announcement was made at 8 p.m., after a seven-hour rain delay. There were several times throughout the day when the rain ceased long enough for workers to dry the courts, only to have the rains return before play could resume.
As a result, matches will start an hour earlier than usual today, 10 a.m., weather permitting.
