Last week, we discussed that using sale-priced meats in menu planning can save over one hundred dollars each month.
Boneless skinless chicken breast is on sale this week at Safeway and Shoppers for less than $2 a pound. It is also on sale at Giant and Super Fresh, but at $3 a pound, it is not quite as good a buy. The regular price of boneless chicken breast is $5 per pound. A meal made with chicken breast purchased this week will save between $3 and $5 over the same meal made with chicken bought at regular prices.
