California Attorney General Dan Lungren opposes legalizing marijuana for medical use but now finds himself having to defend a proposition passed last month that permits patients to grow marijuana for "personal" use.
"Initiatives are the supreme law of the land in California, and the attorney general has called a meeting of all district attorneys, police chiefs and sheriffs in the state for [Tuesday] to figure out how we we will be able to make this law work," Lungren spokesman Steve Telliano said.
