Concerning our Oct. 2 column about recent Virginia court decisions that keep fishermen out of part of the Jackson River because it runs past land that was deeded to the ancestors of current landowners by King George III, a letter arrived from a Briton who agrees with the king who was so rudely shown the door by the new Americans back in the 1770s.
"Dear Sir," the letter said, "I am an anti-royalist even though I am 100 percent British born. However, I don't know if you know this, but G.W.
