Previously, to get nearly any of the navigation systems on the market you had to buy a new car as an accessory. Well, that's starting to change, as a couple of the firms that have been making built-in systems for new vehicles are moving into the post-sales arena.
Both Philips and Siemens, two of the largest automotive parts suppliers in the world, have announced plans to get into the aftermarket navigation business in a big way. Prices have not been announced yet, but I can guarantee that they will not be inexpensive.
