Collectors of Civil War memorabilia are noted for persistence.
While it is generally believed that most of the obvious paper souvenirs of the great conflict such as Confederate currency have already been located, collectors know that the rebel government created millions of documents that also tell a story.
One collector recently discovered a rather plain document that provides some little-known details relating to Union Gen. William T. Sherman's march through Georgia.
