Can you imagine documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, known for titles such as "Baseball" and "The Civil War," directing action movies instead?
Mr. Burns, who has spent 24 years in the documentary film business, says that image is not far from the truth.
"I wanted to be the next John Ford," he says, referring to the four-time Oscar-winning director.
Continuing his promotional tour, he screened part of his new film, "Not for Ourselves Alone: The Story of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony" on Tuesday and spoke to Howard University students in the Department of Radio, Television and Film as part of their documentary series. His film will ...
