BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 1999--

IONA Technologies has today announced the resignation of Mr. John J. Cullinane from its Board of Directors. Cullinane joined the Company's Board in early 1997. During his tenure, Cullinane contributed greatly to IONA's overwhelming success. Cullinane helped to take IONA public, which at the time was Nasdaq's fifth largest software IPO ever, and as a Director he played an integral part in guiding the Company's growth to revenues of $84 million in 1998.
