NEW YORK, Oct. 26 (UPI)
High technology hardware giant Intel Corp. and software giant Microsoft Corp. are the first companies not listed on the New York Stock Exchange to become components of the blue-chip Dow Jones industrial average.
The editors of the Wall Street Journal said Tuesday four of the 30 component stocks of the Dow Jones industrial average will change effective with the beginning of trading on Monday, November 1.
The Journal said it is adding the Home Depot Inc., Intel Corp., Microsoft Corp. and SBC Communications Inc. to the 30 industrial average.
They will replace Chevron Corp., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., ...
