Oct. 27 -- DALLAS -- Who's got the better pizza?
The great debate went to food court this week in Dallas, where Pizza Hut and Papa John's are defending their competing advertising claims.
And the cheese is already pretty thick.
Papa John's advertises "Better ingredients, Better Pizza." Pizza Hut advertises "Best Pizzas Under One Roof."
Pizza Hut sued Papa John's International in August 1998, alleging its ad campaign and slogan were disparaging Pizza Hut products. Papa John's countersued, claiming its ads and slogan are less disparaging than Pizza Hut's.
