SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 1999--
Alaska Air Group, Inc. has elected J. K. (Ken) Thompson to the board of directors of Alaska Air Group and Alaska Airlines.
Thompson is executive vice president of ARCO, responsible for ARCO's Asia-Pacific oil and gas operating companies in Alaska, California, Indonesia, China and Singapore.
He formerly was president of ARCO Alaska, Inc., the parent company's oil and gas producing division based in Anchorage. He remains chairman of the board of ARCO Alaska, Inc.
Thompson joined ARCO in 1974 and has held numerous positions in general management, strategic planning and technology.
