Prompted in part by encouragement from the risk management community, risk management education in Australia is advancing through new programs and partnerships between the academic and business worlds.
At the University of New South Wales in Sydney, companies such as the Australian Stock Exchange Ltd. and the Reserve Bank of Australia, both based in Sydney, are partners in a financial risk management training venture. Victoria's Monash University in Melbourne also has plans to develop business sponsorship of risk management students.
