Oct. 30 -- An Orange County software company has been sued for $450 million by a man alleging the company's chief executive set him up to be thrown into a Chinese prison -- and that he had to put up his fiancee as "collateral" to leave the country.
"It's basically been a nightmare," said Michael Kern, a security consultant who now lives in Santa Ana.
Kern and his company, Kern Technologies Inc., sued LanguageForce Inc., an Orange software company that also runs GoToWorld.com, an international search engine. LanguageForce declined to comment.
