You probably know at least one of the unfounded myths about Iceland. In our geography lessons, most of us learned that this island nation is not as icy as its name suggests.
Iceland is lush and green during the summer months. Another myth holds that the Norse named this land to discourage invaders. While that a myth, the name has probably discouraged travelers in the past, but no more. Iceland has become a hot destination.
How hot? For those who like it steaming, Iceland offers active volcanoes and almost 800 hot springs, many of them suitable for soaking.
