A 3-year-old boy lost overnight in New Hampshire's north woods was found safe yesterday near a spot marked on a map by an American Indian using a dowsing rod.
Little Cameron Patry wandered away from his Berlin, N.H., home in pursuit of a neighbor's dog about 6 p.m. Tuesday, police said. When the dog returned without the tot in tow, all of Cascade Hill poured into the woods to find him, neighbors said.
Twenty hours later, Fish and Game Sgt. Robert Bryant and volunteer Luc Couture spotted the boy sitting in the woods about three-quarters of a mile uphill from his family's home.
