Can't sleep at night? According to the National Center on Sleep Disorder Research you're not alone. The organization estimates that up to 60 million Americans are affected by insomnia.
The good news, according to physicians, is that insomniacs needn't surrender themselves to a lifetime of exhaustion.
"Treating insomnia can sometimes be complicated, because it involves lifestyle issues," said Dr. Sanford Auerbach, the director of the Sleep Disorders Center at Boston Medical Center. "But as a general rule, most insomnias are quite treatable."
