Boston in winter can be pretty dreary. The perfect antidote, short of a trip to the tropics, would be something like a romantic dinner in a private greenhouse, surrounded by lush greenery, tiny twinkling lights and the soothing sounds of running water.
Something very like this, believe it or not, can be found in Brighton Center at the Bean House Cafe. OK, it's not a private greenhouse, but with only a half-dozen or so well-spaced tables, it comes pretty close. (And the night of our visit, the absence of other patrons enhanced the illusion of privacy.)
A greenhouse it definitely is - attached to Minihane's florist shop out front. By day the cafe serves ...
