If you thought the New England Renaissance Festival was amusing, check out Mitch Lyons' newest piece of interactive period entertainment, which is actually designed to be funny.
The 1959 Comedy Class Party, debuting tonight at the Holiday Inn/Dedham Ballroom, may not be comedy in the "traditional stand-up sense, but it's definitely comical," said Lyons, the entertainment producer who originated the medieval carnival now known as King Richard's Faire.
