Oct. 30 -- Robert J. McKenna feels pretty good about the way Acme Electric Corp. has weathered some stormy times in its electronics markets.

Despite losing one of its biggest customers earlier this year, the East Aurora-based electronics manufacturer still managed to boost its profits by 7 percent during the fiscal year that ended in June, even though its total sales were off by 12 percent. And McKenna predicted that Acme's sales and profits will grow during the current fiscal year.
