It's just under two months before the last First Night York of the century, but it's only one day until details of the event are unveiled.
First Union, the title sponsor for the New Year's Eve event, will host a news conference at 3 p.m. Friday at its downtown branch, 12 E. Market St.
Carolyn Schaefer, First Union's area executive officer, and Mayor Charlie Robertson will unveil the design of this year's collectible button, which serves as the ticket to First Night York's 52 performers at 21 downtown locations.
