Nov. 4 -- The commission charged with spending Orange County's share of Proposition 10 money hopes to begin funding children's programs here before voters are asked in March to repeal the 50-cents-a-pack tobacco tax.
"Unless we have some money in action, the public will have no idea what we are about," said Hugh Hewitt of the county's Children and Families First Commission. "At least in Orange County, they should be able to look at three different things and say, `Oh, this is what it's about.' "
