Nov. 4 -- The likelihood of Glaxo Wellcome making a mega-deal of its own would receive a boost if Warner-Lambert and American Home Products merge to create the world's largest drug company, analysts say.
A combination of Warner-Lambert and American Home could trigger a wave of consolidation involving companies, like Glaxo, that have been sitting on the merger sidelines of late. Glaxo Wellcome is based in London and has its U.S. headquarters in Research Triangle Park, where it employs 4,500 workers.
