PROJECT OVERVIEW
The local BAHRAIN PETROLEUM CO.(BAPCO) is currently involved the upgrade of its Sitra refinery. The total cost of the planned modernization works has been pegged at $800,000,000. In so doing, BAPCO is now moving ahead with the proposed construction of a kerosine plant.
Construction plans under consideration call for building a facility with an installed production capacity of 50,000 barrels per day. The planned undertaking is aimed at enabling the improvement of jet fuel production. The cost to build the facility has been pegged at $30,000,000.
