ATLANTA, Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL), said today it will start daily, nonstop service connecting New York (JFK) and Lyon, France, April 14, 2000. Air France, Delta's global alliance partner, will codeshare on the new Delta operated service, which provides an additional European travel option for business and leisure passengers.
In making the announcement, Mark A. P. Drusch, Delta's senior vice president - network management, said, "Lyon is a significant economic, political and commercial center and is rapidly expanding its economic ties to the United States.
