Nov. 6 -- BOSTON -- Who says that nuclear energy is a dying technology?
Not Entergy, a New Orleans electric utility which has already bought the Pilgrim nuclear plant in Plymouth and says it wants to own a fleet of nuclear units around the nation.
"When I look to the horizon, I believe that nuclear will be part of the power mix of the future," Donald C. Hintz, president of Entergy, said at an energy conference yesterday here.
Hintz predicted that the restructuring of the electric industry is going to keep nuclear energy alive for years.
