RAMALLAH, West Bank, Nov. 8 (UPI)
Top Israeli and Palestinian negotiators began Monday the long-delayed talks on a final settlement to end the longstanding Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Yasser Abed Rabbo, chief of the Palestinian negotiating team, described the opening session of the talks held in the Ramallah Grand Park Hotel as being in an ``open and frank atmosphere without obstacles''.
``If we continue with this atmosphere, we should be able to continue to achieve a just, comprehensive and lasting peace,'' Abed Rabbo told reporters after the session.
