Intel's launch of its mobile Pentium III chips means that notebook users can now cruise at speeds of 450MHz and 500MHz. To test the prowess of these new hot-rod engines, we put three of the most feature-packed Pentium III units we could find to the test. We observed big jumps in 3D-processing capabilities and, surprisingly, battery life, despite the more powerful processors and power-hungry displays.
