One-Third Unable to Identify Continent on Which Vietnam Is Located
WASHINGTON, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- High school students are taught less about the Vietnam War than the Revolutionary War and World War II in America's high schools, according to a survey released today by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
Only one-third of students between ages 12 to 17 are taught about the Vietnam War as opposed to nearly two thirds who learn about the Revolutionary War and World War II, the results found. Conducted by International Communications Research, Inc., 500 students were surveyed last month about the education that they received on the Vietnam War.
