Nov. 11 -- Out of view from the busy Carlisle Pike, members of Teamsters Local 776 are picketing and following trucks leaving the Overnite Transportation Co. terminal in Hampden Twp. near Harrisburg.
It's part of a game plan initiated more than three weeks ago when the Teamsters union began an unfair labor practice strike against the trucking company in Memphis, Tenn. The strike has since spread to many of Overnite's 160-plus terminals.
The Teamsters call Overnite a "labor law scofflaw." The company contends it was bargaining in good faith when the union walked away from the table on Sept. 17.
