Symposium Corporation (OTCBB: SYPM) today announced it exercised its option to purchase the assets of Direct Sales International, L.P. The option was granted in June 1999 and was to expire on November 30, 1999.

DSI, with 1998 revenues exceeding $100 million, and 1998 reported earnings before tax of $5.5 million, is a publisher's clearinghouse and one of the largest subscription sales agents for consumer magazines.
