The only problem I have visiting Berlin is that I am never there long enough. The once and future capital of Germany is that big, and there's that much to see. I don't know how long I must stay to really know the city.
How big is it? About 355 square miles, with a population nearing 3.5 million. It is nine times the size of Paris.
Berlin has 170 museums, from many small institutions to the huge, stop-you-in-your-tracks Pergamon Museum, which is large enough to hold impressive ruins from western Turkey and a city gate from Ishtar. Think really big.
