With the presenting prototype machine installed at Nuremburg Airport, and the first series production machine in the factory, Yxlon was relying on word of mouth and a neat baggage system model to present its new explosive detection system (EDS), the XES 3000.
Yxlon International X-Ray was formed last year with the merger of Germany's Philips Industrial X-Ray and Denmark's Andrex. It has an annual turnover of US$55 million based mainly on its leading position in the industrial X-ray non-destructive testing market.
