Nov. 16 -- A start-up medical company is looking to build its manufacturing facility in Charlotte County, potentially creating dozens of new jobs. If it comes to fruition, the business would be the first major victory for the county's newly reformed economic development program.
Boca Raton, Fla.-based R&G Medical and Development Corp. has been looking into sites in Charlotte County for about six weeks, said County Commissioner Matt DeBoer. Talks are still preliminary, but both sides feel positive the deal will come together.
"Right now we're their number one choice," DeBoer said.
