The September increase in producer prices stems largely from the intermediate goods sector, where prices were 0.8% higher in September than in August in the Euro zone (and 0.7% higher in EU15). The other big sectors recorded a much calmer picture. Capital goods prices were flat with 0.0% in both Euro zone and EU15, while durable and non-durable consumer goods in the Euro zone were slightly higher with 0.1% each (prices for consumer durables rose 0.2%, non-durables 0.1% in the EU15).Compared with the other reporting Member States industrial producer prices increased strongly in September in France (1.0%), Spain, Italy and Denmark (all up 0.7%).
