The days of glamorous soirees, world-class accommodations, and celebrity performances are coming back to South Florida. When completed, the new Diplomat Resort & Country Club will have 39 floors with 1,000 guest rooms, a state-of-the-future conference center, a country club with yacht slips, a professional golf course, a world-class spa, a fitness center, and a tennis club. The hotel and adjacent 209,000-square-foot conference center will feature a 50,000-square-foot Great Hall and two floors of flexible meeting space.
The grand opening of the country club is scheduled for the fall of 1999; the hotel and convention center is slated to open in the fall of 2000. ...
