Nov. 16 -- John P. "Johnny" Morris, the feisty 73-year-old Teamsters Union leader who opposed International President James Hoffa's election last year, yesterday was removed from office by Hoffa.
Morris, one of 12 children whose family's labor roots date back more than a century to the coal country's Molly Maguires, was deposed as business manager of Teamsters Local 115 because of a "pattern of erratic behavior," Hoffa said.
That behavior, according to Hoffa, included misusing union funds to buy weapons and supplies for a "war," causing a private employer to fire 12 members he suspected of being "disloyal," ...
