Article: US Airways/Flight Attendant Contract Talks Break Down; Flight Attendants to Ask NMB to Release Parties Into a 30-Day Countdown To CHAOS(TM) Strike Actions.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- After three years of contract talks with US Airways and the failure of an intense month of negotiations, the Association of Flight Attendants, AFL-CIO, the union that represents US Airways flight attendants, will ask the National Mediation Board (NMB) on Monday to release the parties into the 30-day cooling-off period that must precede CHAOS(TM) strike actions.

"US Airways chose CHAOS(TM)," said Lynn Lenosky, president of the AFA US Air-ways Master Executive Council. "In fact, we still have 17 sections of our contract that haven't been resolved, including the major issues of wages and retirement."
