John McNeill
* I wanted to add my voice to those who wrote expressing dismay at the review of John McNeill's recent book, Both Feet Firmly Planted in Midair (NCR, Sept. 3). I feel it's important to add my sense of concern over the very negative treatment given to the author. The review was more of a personal attack rather than a critique of the book.
I had read McNeill's book before it was published, and the content as well as the courage it took to write the book moved me. John made himself very vulnerable to the public. And because by nature John is not a public person, he left himself open and vulnerable in an arena he was unfamiliar with.
