Nov. 24 -- Exxon Corp. and Mobil Corp. will have to give up about 310 Mobil stations in Central and North Texas as part of a deal being finalized with regulators reviewing their merger.
Exxon has its brand on 1,480 stations in Texas, and Mobil's name is on 521 stations.
The Texas stations are among 2,400 nationwide that the two oil giants reportedly have agreed to divest to win approval from the Federal Trade Commission and a group of state attorneys general who have been insisting on concessions to protect competition.
