Awake before dawn and you can, from your bed in a modern Western-style, downtown hotel, hear the exotic Arabic prayer chants drifting in from loudspeakers at the Jumeirah Mosque.
Nearby at the luxury hotels on Jumeirah Beach, guests awaken to the sounds of water sprinkling systems at full tilt misting lush lawns and tropical flowering plants, and maybe the sounds of an insomniac jet skier enjoying the otherwise serene azure sea.
