Nov. 23 -- FORT MILL, S.C. -- Muzak Corp. has signed a letter of intent with Charlotte developer Crescent Resources to build its headquarters in Lakemont Business Park.

The company will wait to start construction until the county approves a tax-incentive package, likely to come within the next two weeks, said Muzak CEO Bill Boyd.

"It's (the building) not designed yet, but it will be 100,000 square feet, and we should start clearing and grading within the next couple of weeks if everything is approved," said Boyd.

Anticipated to bring some 300 jobs to Fort Mill and York County, Muzak could move into ...
