IN LETCHWORTH STATE PARK
Breaking out at times into expansive views of the river, the Letchworth Branch of the Finger Lakes Trail in Central New York works its way through the woods for over 25 miles along the east side of the Genesee River, much of it in Letchworth State Park.
Along the way it passes a picture-postcard view of the park's Middle Falls, skirts an impressive beaver dam, and Follows for awhile the former bed of the Genesee Valley Canal that flourished in the 1800s.
