Article: Evaluating the Effects of Acetone Washes on Printing Blankets.(The Environmental Group)

The Environmental Group (EG) has published the results of a study documenting the fact that blanket washes containing acetone are detrimental to the blanket and that repeated use of these types of cleaners may cause print registration problems and reduce the service life of the blanket.

The EG, located in Reston, Va., is an organization dedicated to print industry environmental research. The group also lobbies against environmental issues that threaten to impact the printing and publishing industries negatively.
