New York's powerful Conservative Party could be the deciding factor in the U.S. Senate race in that state, some political analysts say.
The importance of the Conservative Party in a potentially close Senate contest between Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton and Republican Rudolph W. Giuliani was a topic of much discussion on political talk shows yesterday . The party delivers 4 percent to 8 percent of the total vote in statewide elections.
