Dec. 2 -- Sharp differences Thursday between the United States and other nations kept delegates to the World Trade Organization from setting an agenda for a new round of international trade talks.
However, the 135-nation conference proceeded in relative peace and quiet after two days of street protests, rioting, mass arrests and aggressive crowd-control tactics by police.
