Hints from Cognitive Psychology
Most psychology departments offer a course in the psychology of learning and memory. Most students who take it are either majoring or minoring in psychology or working on a degree in education. Yet all students and their instructors can benefit from some of the insights offered in the course. The results of memory research in particular suggest five ways to enhance classroom presentation and student retention of both conceptual relations and factual information.
