Fletcher, Coleman Love Racing Horses, But They Discover Profiting From It Isn't Automatic
FRANK FLETCHER EXperienced his two greatest thrills in horse racing on April 30, the day before the Kentucky Derby was run at Churchill Downs.
First, his 3-year-old Air Rocket won the Crown Royal American Turf Stakes in front of 140,000 fans and a live audience on ESPN.
Second, and almost as important, he met Bo Derek.
Before the horses went onto the grass at the Louisville, Ky., track, Fletcher was waiting outside Air Rocket's stall. A woman wearing a large hat and flanked by two uniformed policemen approached Fletcher.
